Today, Tevis and I went up to Science and Avi, Brian, and Jamie came a few minutes later. Linda tried to recruit some fifth-graders as a separate team because we already have two seventh-graders and two eighth-graders and two sixth-graders.

While Linda was briefing the little kids, we older kids went off to brainstorm. It sort of ended up Brian vs. Tevis. Tevis advocated treads, Brian wanted gears. We made some progress but not too much.

I think the team dynamics are settling in, in terms of who does what. The only wildcard is the sixth-graders. Conrad says he's in but he only showed up Monday. Brian seems to think his plan is better because he keeps finding faults in other ideas. I think his plan is to use all custom components he has or his dad will make. This doesn't work well for the rest of the team because then he would basically own the device.
