Today, I went over to Brian's from 10:00 to 2:00. When I arrived, he was just waking up so we started actually doing anything at about 11. We did a lot more than I expected. In 1 1/2 hours, we cut and attached two stabilizer rods, duct taped the lift motor to the south end and attached it to the screw, and got something to happen. At 12:30, we had lunch and didn't do that much afterward. We adjourned the meeting but then Bart tried to get us going again and for some reason, my patience level got dangerously low and I had to leave. We could have done more but at least we got a lot done. I still don't think we can pull this off but maybe that's just because I'm really frazzled right now.
