our advisor says that we should document advanced stuff well in our design journal so that the judges don't think a parent did it. It seems like we really need to document our independence from parent(s) well. He also said that every factor represented by one of the specific prizes matters in che grand prizes.
The person the at the brainstorming table said that we should assign weights to the different variables in our design comparison table. Although it's too late this time, we may have a chance in the future.
One thing that kind of alarmed me was what the design journal person said we should do. First, he says we should pick one person. He's probably right, but I don't really want the responsibility. Seccond, it keeps coming back that we need to do more journaling.
As for materials, the workshop people suggested things that were a little easier than what Brian and Bart are thinking of. Again, I think that we should go with what they say and not use silver solder and Bart's metal lathe.
